Crested Geckos are wonderful creatures with an interesting backstory. They were orignally discovered in 1866 in New Caledonia by a man named Alphone Guichenot. He also named the species. The Crested Gecko was then thought to have become extinct until 1994, where a man named Robert Seipp rediscovered the species. They are some of the largest species bhecause they can grow 6-10 in. Crested Geckos are one of the easiest pets to take care of. They require a 18x24x24 tank. Or one with more climbing space then width. They are arborial and nocutrnal so they might not want to play during the day. They are very friendly and extremely soft so handling them is a breeze. Just remember not to handle them on the first day in their new terrarium. For food, these little guys used to be fed baby food. DO NOT FEED THEM BABYFOOD! That cannot be stressed enough.
